Yangjiang City is located along the southwest coast of Guangdong Province. It is a prefecture-level city established with the approval of the State Department in February of 1988.
Yangjiang City is a famous seashore tourist city in Guangdong Province. It has rich tourist resources, including seashore sandy beaches, peaks, forests, dissolved caverns, hot spring, waterfalls, lakes, hills and splendid human landscapes. Of them, the Hailing Island and Yangchun Spring Bay & Lingxiao Rock are provincial-level tourist resorts. The Dajiao Bay of the Hailing Island was evaluated as 4A level national tourist area in 2001.
